Bridal Alterations With Careful Planning

At Stitch & Style, bridal and occasionwear alterations begin with a garment review. We look at the fabric, construction, seam allowances, and the fit you want before discussing the work needed and the likely timeline.

For bridal gowns, our fitting plan usually includes two to three appointments, with a staged quote after the first assessment and fitting. This helps keep the process clear while allowing time for careful adjustments before the event.

Multi-fitting support for gowns and occasionwear

Every garment is reviewed first, then shaped through a clear alteration plan that follows your event timeline.

We handle common specialist changes such as hem and train adjustment, bodice and strap refitting, and bustle and fastening adjustment. Where available, we aim to match original thread and trim, but availability must be confirmed first.

A final fit check is completed at collection, so the garment can be reviewed one last time before you take it home. If extra work is needed, it is only carried out with approval and within the agreed plan.
